Here is the schedule for ticket holders on Sunday, July 24:
- Check-in: 6:00 PM--7:00PM
- Doors: 6:45 PM
- Places 7:15 PM
- "Event" Begins Promptly at: 7:30 PM
- Libations and Artist's meet & greet from: 7:35PM-10:00PM
As a reminder, the gallery is free and open to the public on Friday/Saturday & Sunday from 10:00AM-6:00PM for Upstate Art Weekend. Please have your tickets ready for check-in after 6:00PM.
The gallery space will be closed for 45 minutes from 6:00PM to 6:45PM so the artist can prepare 'backstage' for the very short yet memorable performative destruction of the sculpture. You may enjoy the grounds and river views before the doors open when you arrive, however, due to safety concerns: no one, even with a ticket, will be able to enter the gallery between 7:20PM-7:35PM during the performance. Please be mindful of the time. Also, please remember, you are able to take-away a peice of the sculpture after its destruction and the artist will be present to greet you and sign the fragment after the short performance.
When you arrive at our private road, the gate will be open. Go through the gate and follow the road along the river. Pass the factory and head North towards the Newburgh-Beacon bridge, you will see a small white house on the right, park anywhere. The gallery where Ian McMahon's sculpture and performance will take place is marked by a vinyl sign, if on foot, you've made it! If you are coming by car, parking begins on south side of factory, and then walk towards the space. There is ample parking on lawn and in paved spots, please follow signs for entrance. Please enjoy the river views and breeze while the artist prepares for the performance. There will be seating both in and outside in different sections, however, everyone must have a ticket to participate after 6:45PM on site. There will also be required liability forms that will be sent in email (and will be onsite) and checked for signature before for entry.
